Please be advised that PFA Canada will be hosting its 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, October 15 at 8:00pm ET (9:00pm AT/7:00pm CT/6:00pm MT/5:00pm PT). The meeting will take place virtually via Zoom with details to be shared in due course.
As an electoral AGM, all eight (8) Board positions will be up for election. This includes four (4) executive positions: President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, and Treasurer. In addition, there are four (4) Director-at-large positions. PFA Canada By-Laws require that at least two of the eight Board positions be occupied by women. These are all volunteer, unpaid positions. The term for each board position is two (2) years.
To be eligible to run for the Board, an individual must be a member in good standing with PFA Canada. Additionally, each candidate must be nominated by five (5) members in good standing and provide a statement indicating why they wish to represent PFA Canada (no more than 150 words). Please submit the names of the members willing to support your nomination and the statement (including what position you wish to run for) to Dan Kruk via email at dkruk@pfacan.ca no later than Tuesday, September 10th.
Once all nominations have been received, a separate notice will be shared to present all candidates running for Board positions. Information on how the vote will be conducted will also be shared at that time. Additionally, PFA Canada will provide a set of proposed By-Law amendments that will be voted on at the AGM.
